identifying intel engineering

Got a bunch of Intel LGA775 engineering samples, keep losing track of what's what - how do I use the codes stencilled on the chips to identify them without installing the little blighters in a rig?

You don't. Generally you have to ask someone who knows in order to decode the Q-specs for you.
