OK. I live in Hong Kong and bought a nice laptop from Stamp Computer. You have never heard of them Iknow. But I'd like to know what the mobo is and try to find a different BIOS. Can you help?

You could always take apart the laptop and find out

Laptops don't use standardized parts so it's not what kind of motherboard you have you should be asking. You should be asking who the ODM of your laptop is (who really made the thing). The biggest ones are Clevo, Arima, Compal, and there's one other that I can't recall right now....but good luck finding a different BIOS that'll actually work. The only Laptops I know of where you can FORCE the wrong BIOS is on a Dell and that only applies to going from an Inspiron 8200 to Latitude C840 BIOS just for example.

i think you can use ami bioses for i855pm's but not sure
