I'm wanting to make a small movie box for my living room so I don't have to send the movie wireless to my tv from my computer room, all i know is that I want it small and square but what should i start with the frame or the outside?

What material? What size? Define your level of expertise in fabricating chassis.

The frame and internal structure is a good place to start.

i'm thinking i'm just gonna make it a plastic and paint it so it has the same color and texture of the other electronics i have. As for experience i've been playing with metal and tools pretty much since i was 6 or 7 and i'm now 23 and what I cannot do my father can fabricate. since i posted this i've been thinking about 12"w - 12" depth - 8" high

Just curious, how are you going to make it out of plastic? Are you going to mold it?

I think i'm going to make the frame and then to keep it simple and just cut the sides nice and snug then bondo them so there isn't a seam. I was also thinking maybe to have the mobo tray to be able to slide out with the back panel.
