Ideapad Y700 Battery Drain

I have an Ideapad Y700 with Windows 10 that is about 8 months old. If I charge the device up to 50-75% and let it sit unused for 1-2 months, the battery is completely dead when I turn it back on. I'm not putting the device into sleep mode, it is shutting down.

However, if I fully charge it and unplug it and use it I get the full battery life (4-5 hours) So I know the battery is good.

Any idea?

I'd recommend you fully charge it before you let it sit for 2 months. Or just plan on charging it before you use it after it's been sitting for months.

I've never seen a laptop battery respond well to sitting for that long, fully charged or not.
