IDE -> USB for flashdrive-SSD?

I just grabbed a pair of 64gb flash drive for $50 each, and was wondering if there is any way I can replace the HDD in my laptop with the drives and RAID them into a 128gb SSD...? (and I dont mean by sacrificing a USB port and running wires down to the HDD caddy)
 
If you wanted an SSD, you should have bought an SSD. Performance of thumb drives is abysmal, and they're not made for such use, they will be killed quickly as an OS drive.

I didnt buy them to use as an SSD I just thought I might be able to use them that way *shrug* Mainly I bot them for carrying movies for my tablet since thumb drives use less power than my external HDD
