Ever since I did a clean install and put in my new SATA drives, my other 3 IDE HD's are slow when they need to continously be used. Like extracting large RAR files. It takes over 8 mins to extract a 700mb file. Where before I had the SATA drives it would do it in 2 mins. Reading folders and such it has no problem. I have all the IDEs on UDMA, so I can't figure out where the problem is. Windows is installed on my RAID/SATA config. It just seems like from some posts I'm reading that SATA and IDE just aren't mixing right. Could I be wrong? Any ideas on what the heck is going on?

Ok, I figured it out. Even though the HD's were set on UDMA in the BIOS, Windows had them loading in Multi-Word DMA 2. So I found where to switch it to UDMA/133. And now they are working great. Sorry for the useless post. Maybe, it will help someone else though.
