I'm planning on getting a simple ide raid1 setup with 2x120gb hdd's sometime next week, however i'm not sure on which raid card to get.

I basicly have a choice between the 2 following cards:
ST Lab ATA-Ultra133 IDE Raid Controller
http://www.st-lab.com/IDECMD0680R_1.html
and
Adaptec 1200A
http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/pr...odkey=AAR-1200A&cat=/Technology/RAID/ATA+RAID

The adaptec card costs just under 3x that of the stlab card here(australia... so my options on other cards are limited)

Now i assume the adaptec card is better, but is it worth just under 3x the price of the other?

It will be in a freebsd machine acting as a network file server.

thanks
