Hey all,

First off, sorry for the crap spelling, ive been working on this for the past 12 hours with little breaks. So im nackered.

Anyway, Heres the deal, I got a Dell 1500SC "server" running windows 2000 Server. The Raid card was bleeping like mad cause the drive an chanel 0 was going bad. I turned the alarm off while waiting for a new drive from Dell.

New drive arrived today, so i put it in, Raid card detected it was there, i ran a Consistancy check, and then the server wouldnt boot up!

Says there is no bootable device

Tryed both drives on the IDE chanels, and in a workstation, Windows detected the drives, but said they were un allocated and i couldnt veiw data on them.

Anyone got any ideas? my heads gone on this one

Thanks

umm.. you wouldn't have happened to sync the new, blank disc over the old working disc, did you?
What RAID card?

Couldnt tell u what Raid card.

I know its useing PERC/CERC 2

The device had auto rebuild on it, so should sync the new drive with the existing one!
