I'm flashing the BIOS and updating the drivers on a new I/O flex Serial ATA PCI host controller model PSA 150 with the silicon Image chipset SATA3112.
silicon Image offers two Bios .bin files and two seperate drivers one for RAID and one for IDE.
I don't know which one to use.
This sounds like a dumb question to me too, because I don't want to set up an RAID array.
But... I'm using the controller card to run a single Serial ATA HDD, not an IDE HDD.
Where does IDE come into this picture? Serial ATA Port hosted on a PCI slot connected to a Single WD Raptor SATA HDD.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
