my friend has bought an adapter to use his ide drives with sata

what jumper setting should he put his drives on

and

the normal 4 pin molex connector is still the one to use, correct?

this is on an IC7-Max3

TIA

I have the Highpoint sata converters and I believe I have my drives set to master. You still have to use a molex connection for power. Mine did come with a splitter, as the adapter needs a power connection, but it's only a floppy style power connection.

I use the highpoint series also. Drive should be set to master. Use the standard molex.
