My god I just want to pull my eyes out.
My problem is I installed a hd in sata, np.
The I took my old IDE drive and put it in also and set it to slave. Guess what? The IDE no matter what boots first and only hehe.
I went into the bios and made the sata drive 1st and only boot and also hd boot order the sata drive is first.
What should I be doing?

I've tried cable select on the IDE also with no luck.

Darn I feel like an ass now cause I just fooled around in the bios and got it now ty though! :p

You probably have a "Boot" selection in your "post" screen too. Usually a function key. Hit that and you can set boot order there as well as the bios. Don't feel bad, I've missed that one too ;)

Oh, and if your on the primary channel of your ide cable, you should be set to master, not slave.
