Hello all, I have been having a great dilemma these days: ORGANIZING MY MUSIC LIBRARY!

I have over 20,000 songs and would love to fix every tag I can possibly fix. Obviously, I have tried previous software to help me tag, but it has ended up making me manually search every song....

I am asking and pleading you to help me find software that can automatically see the mistake in the song tag and prompt me to fix it with the proper information.

Example of the mistake:

Song: Stop And Stare
Artist:OneRepublic
Album: Billboard 2007 Top100
Year: 2007

Software to fix to:

Song: Stop And Stare
Artist:OneRepublic
Album:Dreaming Out Loud
Year: 2007

There are a few, but I don't have experience with any of them (I do it all by hand, baby). The first is MusicBrainzTagger, which is now called "Picard". MetaBrainz is pretty much the most obsessive and methodical NPO ever, so that's probably your best bet if accuracy is your thing. Mp3tag has its own built-in auto tagging functionality based on FreeDB track lengths, and the best tagging interface bar none (consider donating). And there's FixTunes, which I came across in a Google search and know absolutely nothing about.

There are probably others, but there will obviously be some function overlap in some places. There are only a finite number of tag sources.

It's not psychic. "Wrong information" is just the CDDB, not the software.

If you use MP3Tag, you can use the Amazon.com/.de and discogs databases as well as freedb.
