Trying to figure out what SATA rev my wifes laptop can run, been hunting a cheap SSD for her and NE has a 60gb on sale cheap right now, but it is SATA 2.

I've looked all over the detailed specs on TOshiba's and AMD's website and can't find a damn thing

Toshiba L655D-S5095

AMD M880G chipset

CNet has specs on that laptop that says it's "Serial ATA-150", which means it's SATA 1.

This AMD page for the M880G chipset only says it's SATA, with no version or bandwidth numbers attached, which implies agreement with CNet:

SATA 2 devices will work fine on SATA 1, just limited to SATA 1 speeds is all.

Thanks so much! Yeah it was the AMD page that had me confused saying just SATA with no revision, thanks so much for the heads up on it :)
