I figured because its a storage controller driver problem, I'd toss it in here.

I cant seem to find a driver for this on intel's site and searches are fruitless. Did intel forget about the x64 version of server 2008?

Ninja Edit: The one listed (IATA89ENU.EXE) errors out before install stating my computer does not meet minimum requirements, and the driver wont even let itself be manually installed.

Figured it out, wasn't in AHCI mode.

it would be nice if we knew what mobo, cpu you had?

I figured out what was the problem. The ich10r was in IDE mode, for what ever reason it was showing up in the device manager as having no driver. Swapped sata cable to the other onboard controller, switched to AHCI, booted, installed driver, shutdown, swapped back to ich10r, boot, happiness.
