i have a mx1000 so it's quite precise as is. any thoughts?

I have one I like it alot. It glides and glides. Weee :p Using it with a Reg MS Optical Mouse but it came with the teflon tape for the feet.

so because i have the cahs it *is worth the buy?

I have the MX1000 on a RatPadz and the mouse is great but the pad is really wearing out. You can see shiny spots on the pad from where I use the mouse the most. I am thinking about getting the Icemat myself as its replacement. Tomshardware did a big write up of a bunch of "gaming" purpose mouse pads and that was among the ones reviewed. They preatty much likes them all and said its up personal preferance as to which one to get. But me I like the Icemat.

I would say so if you have the cash to spare why not. Its like those little things that make you happy.. Something simple as a mousepad, we overlook but once you have it you wonder how you did without it. :p

Is it worth it to get a 1/16th in. sheet of Teflon that is 12x12? I can get one for under 20. I was wondering if I could just mount it into some plexi that I sprayed rubberizer (sticks to the desk better) and cover the entire bottom of my mouse with Teflon sticky tape (I would cut a hole out for the optical beam)?

Would that work well?

I will have to google these Icemats since I have never heard of them.

I use an Everglide pad only 1/2 used, got it from a friend. Its been ok with my MX1000, but I have issues alone with the 1000 that I'm trying to work out.
