ok guys, long story short. I used to run my keyboard and mouse on ps2 so i could "overclock" the ps2 port. now i had to get cool and try to make the media buttons work on my keyboard. basically i got them to work but only under USB. now i would like to revert back to my old ps2 setup. the computer will not allow me to do this. when i plug my keyboard and mouse into the ps2 all i get is a ! in the device manager. if someone can tell me how to fix this that would be great. if they cant here is another issue that would help me to the same resolve. another reason i want the ps2 is for the ability to turn on my comp from the space bar. however with the usb it wont do it. i have both jumpers set to enable on the mainboard and the bios is set to USB kb bios. can anyone tell me what is wrong here?

thanks!
Jason

yo Jason, umm with your keyboard, what kind is it? (brand, model) did it come with a usb-ps2 adapter? i have a wireless mouse and keyboard, but when i plug in a ps2 mouse, nothing happens...i have to shut down, then plug mouse or keyboard in, then reboot my pc. its the only way to make em work i think :( did u shutdown then plug it into ps2? or did u try plug it in while pc is on?

sorry for the vagueness, let me explain further

i have a microsoft natural keyboard pro. it has the Y adapter that is attached to the keybard for ps2 or usb. when the ps2 only is pluged in the computer will wake. however the keyboard wont work in windows. if i immedatly unplug the keyboard and use it as USB it works fine. my mouse is a logitech mx500 and it worked flawlessly on ps2 (use for the faster data pole time in device manager) but now it wont work at all. it only works as USB. it makes me wonder if something is wrong with my ps2 ports now. and yes my computer is turned off when i am plugging and unplugging my ps2 ports.

thanks for the help!
Jason
