IC7-Max3 CANT OVERCLOCK!!!!

I installed the intel files that came on my max3 cd so that I could get AGP acceleration enabled and now I cannot overclock my FSB. Not so much as 1Mhz.......As soon as I change it I get a disk read error, or it tries to boot from cd when there is none there and says disk error. I have tried resetting the cmos and starting the settings again and that did not work. Any ideas?
 
did you make sure to set the agp/pci lock? that's all i can think of that would cause a disk read error (unless the drivers fubared your disk)
