i have a 76gb ibm deskstar, and i want to run it as a slave on my pc. ive tried everything, and heard that these drives just dont work with other drives. is there any way possible? theres data on there that i need to recover and cant do any other way.
 
try to unhook your cd drives and put it on the secondary channel as the master.. or get an external enclosure

edit: or you could set it as a master than boot from HDD-1(slave, primary channel)
