I recently got a iaudio U2, and to make some of its features work you need to flash the firmware, even for some of the stuff advertised on the box, like m3u playlists.
So i decided i'd do that today, long story short, it times out after it starts downloading, and corrupts whatever is left on the flash drive. Now it wont turn on, pc cant detect it, and it wont respond to any attempts of redoing the firmware. I could have smashed this thing with a brick and done less damage.
After spending a few hours between google and trying various things that other have done, i'm no closer to getting it going. Seems like a bunch of ppl have had problems with their dodgy firmware upgrade setups. To top it off i'm pretty sure anything that happens when you attempt to upgrade the firmware is your own problem, since it states do so at your own risk in the manual.
Anyone had any experence they could share with simular problems? Cause its pretty frustrating and i think its either buy a new mp3 player, or pay iaudio to fix it and wait weeks for a new one, if they will even do that.
