i9300 brightness on battery

hey i just tried my 9300 today running on battery and it is soooo dim. on ac, this thing is good and bright. how can i change the brightness on this thing while either running battery or on ac. im sure there should be a way but so far i cant find it. thanks again

next question, does it go any brighter than what it lets me? maybe in terms of changing settings from within windows or display drivers?
 
You can use Quickset to create/save/apply different profiles regarding power usage (screen brightness) etc. Once you find Quickset, it's pretty self-explanatory. If you re-formatted & no longer have Quickset, go to the Dell drivers & updates site for i9300 & re-install it.....
 
You could adjust the brightness on the fly by simply holding the Fn + Arrow Key

The Fn + down arrow key will make it dimmer, the Up arrow key will make it brighter.
