i7 system - stopgap graphics card

Hello,

I'm putting together an i7 based system including the following:

core i7 920 processor, 6 gigs of PC1600 OCZ Gold RAM, Asus P6T Deluxe mobo, and my Samsung 20-inch monitor which runs at 1680 x 1050

I'd like a graphics card that will run Crysis, GTA 4, etc. decently but i don't want to blow money on something that'll be obsolete when nvidia releases its 300 series in Q4.

Can someone please recommend a gaming card for under $100 that'll run the above titles passably until i upgrade in 2010?

A used 8800GT or 9800GT will do decently, just don't expect to be able to touch anything over low and medium. :)

another vote for the 4850 it will easily max most games at 1080p so 1650x1080 should not be a problem
 
4850,250,9800+ all about same performance will do.Get one with best price.
