i7 stock cooler temps.

Hey guys. I am running the stock cooler on my i7 940 with Tuniq-TX2. I ran Prime95 and it loaded in the low 70's, and idled in the low to mid 40's. Are these temps good for my current setup? My CPU is at stock speeds until I get a better cooler. Thanks.
 
These chips run really hot on the stock cooler; I'm also using the stock Intel cooler and I will hit 100°C in about 5 to 7 minutes when overclocked to 3.2ghz and 1.125 vcore.

I would think 70° is nothing to sweat at; I ran mine at 100 overnight several times now which even though very toasty is still within operating specifications. You can try Core Damage and it would probably get even hotter.

Just an FYI Comodo antivirus detected coredamage as a virus TrojWare.Win32.PSW.OnlineGame.~FM@2562326 Probably a false positive (I'm getting sick of this, AVG is even worse) but I thought I'd give a heads up if anyone can verify if it's safe or not.
 
On stock cooler with stock frequency 2.66 I920 ( NB at 2.66GHz and RAM 1333 ) I'm at 52-55C idle and over 90C in Prime.
I'll try to improve the airflow in the case , maybe it will drop a few degrees. ( have an exhaust 80mm fan).

False positive-- I scanned it with Ad-aware 2008 and came up clean
