This is only for people with i7 that went from 3x2gb stick to 6x2gb stick.

I currently have an i7 920 overclocked to @3.8 with 3x2gb stocks of corsair 1600 and looking to add another 6 gigs without losing any overclock.

Choose one of the options from the poll and post any details about your set up, etc.
 
shit.. i pressed the wrong one.... lol

the old lga-775 issue with running all memory banks full is gone.. the i7 does that have that.. and kyle proved it in his video when he did 3.8ghz w/ 12 gigs of ram.. all 6 banks full..
 
your poll doesn't account for triple channel. I've only used the dummy overclock (3.2ghz) and haven't had issues with either the 3x1gb 1333, or the 3x2gb 1600's.

what do you mean account? he said 6 x 2GB and 3 x 2GB which are both triple channel.. i fail to see why he should be accounting for something thats already there in the poll..

I don't think all lga-775 boards have this problem. I have a P35-based board and just went from 2 x 2 GB to 4 x 2 GB without changing anything. The system is stable to memtest86+ and prime95 blend. My older P965 board on the other hand did have issues going from 2 x 1 GB to 4 x 1 GB.
