i7: Hotter with faster memory.

Makes sense. With the memory controller integrated on the CPU already, I'd imagine that with faster memory there would be more work on the controller...more work = more heat.
 
That is kind of obvious for a CPU with an integrated memory controller.
 
Makes perfect sense as the uncore is what do it at it to be at least 2xmem freq. and that also need higher QPI/Dram in ASUS language voltage to even boot, some board (REII) need more than other (Classified) and that also adds to it.
 
everyone who knows anything about this processor should known this happens.

I did, and others probably did as well, considering the same thing happens with AMD CPUs that have integrated memory controllers and those have been around for years now. This is nothing new.
