It's the new stepping for this CPU. Better heat and power performance compared to the earlier stepping. Think of it like a MKII.

Not quite. If by better performance you mean a higher clock at a lower voltage, then yes. Also, from what I've seen here and on XS, most people who have their D0s are lower voltages (relative to C0s) are still getting almost the same temps as the C0s.
