Everything looks fine, but why do you need the sound card?

Which model of the TRUE 120 did you get? (If you've bought the older model, you'll also need to buy the LGA1366 mounting kit as well.)

Insane grammar failure. Put some damn punctuation so we don't blind ourselves with failed English. What onboard are you comparing this to anyways? New onboard sound is light years above what used to be the shitty norm.

Onboard sound nowadays is much improved, with many of today's (recommended) motherboards using HD audio processors and having digital audio outputs. I suggest that you try the onboard sound out first, and then get a sound card if you're otherwise disappointed.

Do you plan on using Vista with this system? If so, you should also check out some (non-retailer-based) reviews on the sound card that you're considering, since Vista differs from XP on how it handles discrete audio. ("Non-retailer-based" means "don't rely on reviews from NewEgg or other online retailers," since most of those reviews are written by people who have no clue what they're talking about. Check out a website or a forum that focuses on hardware -- or, specifically, audio -- reviews, as you'll receive more detailed feedback there.)

Onboard sound is decent. Soundcard (high-end) is much better. Depends on your audio gear (crappy speakers don't much sound better with better source).

When you're ready for a decent audio equipment purchase, just let me know or saunter over to the Computer Audio section...

EDIT: HT Omega Claro is an excellent choice of soundcard btw... you should keep it as long as you have speakers/headphones that can tell the difference. However, the Z-5500 is a terrible choice of speakers. They blow. Hard. Unless all you're doing is gaming.

Especially if you have speakers/headphones that support 5.1 Dolby Digital, the HT Omega series has Dolby Digital Live processing.
