Hi . I just bought new mobo GA-P55-UD3 . NExt i want buy I7 860 2.8 ghz.
Now i got Ati 5850. And question. That this Ati will be bootlenecking I7?
I must get 2x 5850 to improve full performance of I7 or buy better card that 5850 , like 5970?

Or all will be ok with I7 + 5850 ?>

1x 5850 won't be bottlenecked, I don't know the limits of the pci-e controller on the 1156 platform, but 2x 5850 might hit the bandwidth cap. You should be fine.
 
ahh and this mobo got second pciex 4x. So CF will be on 4x\4x so its worst???????? Waste money of 2x card?
 
personaly i wouldnt waste money on a second card since the second slot is only 4x. 16x and 16x vs 8x 8x have shown to be a 2% difference but from what ive read 8x to 4x there was a huge difference.

your going to lose performance of the second card. what i would do is sell the 5850 if your not happy with it and pick up a 5870.
 
ok but i read that Socket 1156 will be not using on future i6 cores. So i waste money on mobo, cause this mainboard will be not useless in future?

ALL hardware will be useless in the future. It's a universal truth. Buy what works for you TODAY and stop worrying about the future.

Your i7 and the 5850 will destroy games. Play more, worry less.
 
yes this is true. socket 1156 is not getting 6core. 1366 and socket am3 (AMD). its a choice you have to make yourself. you can either build an amd Rig or an i7 920 wich 920 rigs are very costly.
