i7 980x or wait for Sandy Bridge?

My question is, are the other i7 9XX CPU's being run at stock? Because if they are, then it's important to know that once the "lower end" CPU's are overclocked to similar frequencies as the 980X the gap beings to narrow considerably.

The stock 980x is listed right below the overclocked unit.

The stock 980x is listed right below the overclocked unit showing about a 28% gain in 1080p transcoding over the i7 975.

Haha yeah, I reread that link after I submitted my post. It certainly is impressive.

So going back to BigVeg's comment:

Currently dealing with a pretty sizable backlog of Family Video's in Hi Def (1080i) 60 min tapes that I am just trying to get burned to DvD in the least amount of time possible. If the 980x really does not provide that big of a difference than the 930 then that would make my decision easier.

Since this is what you want to do, and money is no problem then your decision is easy. Go for the best of the best. :D
