Hello all. I am trying to get my comp stable at 4 ghz. Trouble is I keep getting BSOD 124 and accompanying physical memory dump very quickly when running Prime95 Blend. She was stable at 190x21 (3.8) but not what I am at now:

Currently working at:
4 Ghz
BLCK: 200
Mult: 20
DRAM Mult: 8 (1603) It appears that the BCLK is slightly higher than 200 and is causing the mem to run at this speed.
Uncore Mult: 16 (3206)
QPI Mult: Tried Auto and 18
RAM Timings: 6-8-6-24

Previously ran stable at:
BLCK: 190
Mult: 21
DRAM Mult: 8 (1532)
Uncore Mult: 16 (3040)
QPI Mult: 18
RAM Timings: 6-8-6-24
Same voltages

I tried raising and lowering QPI voltage but it had no effect. I also tried PLL Voltage at 1.88.

Right now I am at stock speeds, with the mem at 1600, 6-8-6-24 and no issues.

Config:
Asus Rampage III GENE (M-ATX) (Bios 0501-Most Recent)
I7 920 (Do not remember revision)
Antec 650 Watt Green Power Supply (24 pin and 8 pin connectors)
Mushkin 998805 2 GBx3 Triple channel ram, 1600, 6-8-6-24, 1.65v
Asus ENGTX460 TOP, engine 775, Mem 4000, Processor 1550
X-Fi Soundcard
Zalman CNPS10X cooler (need to reapply paste and reseat, running hot)
W7 (x86) All updates

Thanks in advance for any help.

Exactly how much did you try rasing the QPI voltage to run at 200bclk?

What about skew settings? Did you try messing with them?

your QPI/vtt is looking a bit high to me for 3x2GB ram, but every i7 seems to like it differently. have you tried increasing Uncore multi as well as cyclone's suggestions?

it could be a case of your chip simply not liking even multi.s as well. some i7 are said to favor odd multi. settings over even and it seems to be one of those odd quirks that noone really understands, but works in some cases.

Thank you both for your assistance. I have given up on 4Ghz for now. Some of the solutions for hitting 4Ghz involve changing the multiplier to odd--21, which I then have to drop bclk, lowering ram speed--not acceptable--or 19 req. increase of bclk and overclock or underclock of ram--underclock not acceptable, and right now I don't want to try to overclock the ram. So right now I'm sitting happy at 3.8 and 1600 on ram. Thanks

Even on my old first released 920 C0 Im stable at 4ghz.
Are you water cooled? My bclock is 200 and ram is 1600 still as well. If I remember correctly my vcore was around 1.42

some of your voltages may be too high for stability, have you found your max blck? after that you should have found out what the capabilities of the ram were, mushkin is great ram and normally handles overclocking very well (I wouldn't be surprised if it were able to push 1600 MHz on current timings with as low as 1.5v).

do you have active cooling on the IOH as well? I know the R3G runs a but hot due to stock cooling. what do your load temps look like at your current highest stable OC?
