I'm pretty much on the verge of getting an i7 package from a UK company that offers them pre-overclocks and guarantees 4ghz from an i7 920 with stability, it's a pretty good deal, 6gb of ram, x58udr gigabyte board and a titan fenir cooler. I'm just waiting till monday-tuesday for the x6 reviews before I commit, but I can't really see the x6's beating the i7's.
Perhaps i'm a little out of touch but a 1.4ghz jump over the stock 2.6 ghz seems massive jump, is it something special about these chips that can be stable at 4ghz or is this pretty normal with 6gb, what about if I increase to 12gb at some point? Will an overclocked i7 not have the intel equivalent cool and quiet.
