These processors usually don't need that much Vcore, drop it to 1.3 and ou may see a 10c drop in temps
If temps get as high as 90C, you might want to reseat the heatsink and/or reapply the thermal paste.
Yeah ive done that like 4 times,Arctic Silver 5,I tryed spreading it,I tryed a straight line of it across the cores, even tried filling in the the gaps on the heat sink itself, with the cooler its different than a full copper pad.
Anyways It ran 15 passes @ 3.6 ghz @ 2.4 vcore at around 90C,best I think I can get,any more it starts to declock itself, lowering multies..Was hoping for more..
Do you mean 1.4v? What are your temps at lower voltages?
what is your bclk and multiplier?
isn't that 3.6?
Should be 200 X 20
or 190 X 21
Try the 190 X 21, see if your temps improve
If temps get as high as 90C, you might want to reseat the heatsink and/or reapply the thermal paste.
Have gander at this -- http://www.thinkcomputers.org/cooler-master-hyper-212-plus-cpu-cooler-review/4/
Unless you left the plastic cover on the base of the heatsink (lol) i think something is definitely wrong here.
Problem solved,I received another cooler, same model for another build, took mine off and added the new one and temps at load dropped 10 to 15C,so there must me something wrong with this cooler.
