Hello,

I have recently purchased a new i7 haswell and i was fiddling the bios since so far i have overclocked my rams and leaving my cpu in stock. I do not want to overclock right now and i have tried to find the intel turbo boost technology but its not there. i looked at the specifications on the bios and it states turbo boost is "n/a". What happened?! And how do i set the cpu voltage manually as in wanting to set to stock voltage cause right now its auto.

Is it normal idle temp for a i7 haswell? I m using 212+ with push and pull config.

P.s i have attached the image screenshot of my bios.

i tried but i couldnt find anything though or maybe i might have missed it. :S

Pretty sure if you set your multiplier to 39 that will set the turboboost target per stock.

i cant change the multiplier and voltage.. i tried to click oc genie and the settings were way off. like high voltages etc i didnt not want any of that.

geez, z87 bios is deeeeep!

Leave the CPU settings on AUTO & RAM set to XMP, & run CPU-Z in Windows. This will tell you what the speed the CPU is running at during a task.

You could try these settings (found them recommended on another site)

CPU Clock Ratio: 4
All other settings: Default/Auto
Memory Performance Enhance:

XMP Profile: Profile 1
Hyper-Threading and Turbo: Enabled
EIST, C1E, C3, C6 and C7: Enabled
All other settings: AUTO

If neither of those work, then I would look for a BIOS update or at the very least restore the BIOS to defaults/optimised and try again.

also keep in mind that 3.7GHz will be the turbo speed when stressing 3+ cores. 3.9GHz will be the turbo speed when stressing only a single, or two cores.

i cant be able to change the multiplier and the voltage. i do not know why...
