i was wondering if this thing could handle a passive cooler, with the 35W TDP it should work but haswels are notoriously hot
With my Lian Li 355b matx case with two 120mm fans using prime cpu works at 70C max using a stock vent

would something like Dynatron K-618 be enough ?

im building a small low power server

the stock intel cooler its pure crap.. but that chip should run at lower temp even with the stock temp.. the K618 its a very decent cooler you should be fine specially if you use some good thermal paste..

yeah must be the cheap Chinese thermal paste i used, would have better results with a tooth paste if im honest...
