I have read all kinds of comparisons between the i5 9600k and the Ryzen 3600x, but everything I read automatically assumes giant tower coolers or full custom cooling loops with infinitely large radiators with ideal overclocking conditions. Both processors have an advertised TDP, but Intel and AMD measure TDP so differently that it is a useless spec.

Does anybody know how these 2 processors (or even 9600 Non-k vs 3600) compare if you are limited to some of the smaller AIR coolers that can be used in cases like the MI-6, Dan A4, Sentry, Loque, Node 202 etc?

(I’m looking to upgrade my MI-6 and I really only care about gaming performance)

Just look at reviews with stock settings. You are not going to overclock much with either cpu in a space limited case like those.
