G'day all,
I'm new to the overclocking game, this is the first time I've done it. Read up a bit on voltages and multipliers and stuff, but other than that I dont really know much.
I've cranked it up to 167MHz with a 21 multiplier, so 3507MHz. RAM has a 10x multiplier, so 1670MHz, initially was running with auto voltages which made Core Voltage go up to 1.31ish, so I'm manually backing it off (down to 1.264V now, will keep dropping to see how low it'll go).
Now my problem, can I get the multiplier above 21? I've read other people running with a multiplier of 24 using turbo mode, but even with it enabled it only maxes out at 21. Temps are still reasonable (around about 60 C in HWmonitor) and its been running prime95 for the past 20 minutes or so.
System is...
i5 750 Lynnfield
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 (rev 1.0 I believe)
G.Skill F3-12800CL9 1600MHz Ripjaws (8gb total, 4x2gb sticks)
ATI HD 4870 512mb
Cooler Master 600W SilentProM
WD 1TB Cavier Black
500gb Seagate Barracuda
Xigmatek Thor's Hammer cooler with Nexus PWM fan (running maxed at 1850rpm)
Cheers!
Tudz
