i5-750 or 550be for new gaming build?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new gaming build and have settled on a XXX 5870, 4gb of G.Skill Ripjaw, 750w Corsair psu, and a Lian Li K62 case. I'm trying to decide if I should go with a i5-750 or a AMD 550be if I knew I could get one that unlocks all 4 cores. Mainly would play TF2 and MW2 but want something that can run Battlefield Bad Company 2 best at 1080p. Thanks in advance.
 
i would imagine the i5 will pretty much double your real world performance over the amd....
 
Thanks guys. The i5 is $190 at Microcenter. Any thoughts on a good board to put it on for a good oc? The EVGA P55 LE looks pretty slick but not sure if it's good. I'm not too in the loop on the newer intel stuff.

check the forums like i posted you in the pm i sent you can get an i5 way cheaper and New. ive seen then on these forums go for 130 to 160 New. The i5 is a great cpu.
