I5-4690k Issue

I recently purchased the above cpu with an Asus Maximus Hero VI Z87 board. Before attempting to install the 4690k chip I installed BIOS update 1505 using a Celeron chip. After performing the update I do not get a display and am totally lost on what to do to make this work. If someone would, please, post step by step instructions to make the 4690k+z87 maximus hero vi combo work!
 
I would start checking for bent pins in the mobo..
 
Not really as you could have damaged the pins switching from the Celeron to the 4690k
 
Found out the problem. Was IME firmware not being updated when I attempted easy flash. Figured out how to update IME and the new 4690k is installed. Very happy! Thank you for the replies.
