Hi guys.
upgraded my i3 2100.
my system is :
R4 case
ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M
G Skill F3-12800CL9-8GBXL
Sapphire 6950 2GB Flex
Seasonic X660
and
I5 3570K+ Scythe KATANA 3...

my temps with the i3 2100 were about 30 idle and about 55 load...

now its - idle:40, load:80

is this normal?
:(

Thanks!!!

Idle is fine. Load is a bit high for your HS (although still 25 C from the max) unless you are overclocking and have raised the CPU voltage.

I used OCCT,
CPU frequency goes from 1640MHZ(idle) to 3900MHZ (load), stock is 3400...I didn't change any BIOS settings.

it's "turboing up" Your cooler is made more for silence than cooling efficiency..
Those chips run hot, period..I'd say it's par for the course.
You might can undervolt it some to brings temps down :D

I have a 3570k as well. Those temps are a bit high for stock settings. Have you made sure that you've applied the proper amount of thermal paste and checked that the heatsink is seated correctly?

If you have that stuff ok then I would check your voltages. You could undervolt it if you don't plan to OC.

As the others have stated the temperatures are a touch high for stock speeds. I have the Intel® Core™ i5-3570K overclocked to 4.3GHz with the Corsair H100 and my temperatures are not much different from yours. I would try to reseat the HSF and make sure that clean off the other paste and put some new on.

These cpus run hot.

Problem is the poor Intel IHS design which uses a cheap tim and poor fitting IHS. Improved temps can be seen by de-lidding and applying decent TIM underneath the IHS.

De-lidding can be destructive if not done correctly so read up on it.

I have lowered my average core temps over 20C since I de-lidded. I'm using IC Diamond TIM but will be trying Liquid Pro soon. Liquid Pro seems to get the best results against DIE.

Have a look at CPU-Z when fully loaded. What is your core voltage? If you are using AUTO bios settings your CPU might be getting more voltage than it needs to be stable. Manually lowering voltage can help your temps.

You could also delid your CPU and replace the thermal paste between the IHS and CPU. This will lower your temps but unless you plan on overclocking, there is no reason to bother. 80C is a big number but it is well within the Intel spec. As long as your CPU is stable, there is no need to be concerned about 80C. Most users don't run OCCT or Linpack or Prime95 24/7. During normal use, your typical core temperature will probably be significantly less than 80C.

I am running my 3570k at 4.1GHz with a coolermaster hyper 212. At idle i am at around 10-15C depending on the ambient temperature, and under full load i have not seen anything above 70C. Like was said above, try reseating your hsf because that does seem a little high.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I tried to put a new thermal paste (mx4) and got the same results.

cpuz shows core voltage of about 1.1v (load) and and about 0.95 (idle).

I'll try to get a better cpu cooler, any suggestions ?

Thanks!
