V-Core and Temps:
Stable at 1.350V, but very hot, so much that throttling kicks in under load (All four cores over 85C-90C, too close to TJ Max).
In between the 1.300V and 1.350V BIOS v-core setting, system is still stable but too hot. Under load, the V-core increases up to 1.3970V with the 1.350V BIOS setting.
I did not get a chance to document the increase with the 1.300V BIOS setting.
With the 1.295V BIOS setting, the system is very stable, reported as 1.304V in CPU-Z, and under load going to 1.344V. Temps are now 34C Idle and 84C under load (running Prime95).While stress testing with these settings, I did notice the temperature coming down from 84C to 78C. I will continue to decrease the V-core and stress test, but I wanted to see what you guys thought about these high temps and V-core changes. I'm guessing the V-core increase is related to my "Low Vdroop" setting and Intel's SVID technology increasing power to the CPU as needed.
