9100F is $30 less than 2600 and in-game fps is higher for the 9100F but is it the better choice for a new build?

Honestly I would suggest the 1600 if you have microcenter around can get the chip for $80 or even 2600 for $109, while the 9100f is $130. You might need to evaluate if the games you play will eclipse 4c needs, or if you are into running other stuff in the background like live streaming. If not then the 9100f might be a better choice, if so then you get 2 extra cores and 8 extra threads. Also keep in mind consoles now are 6threads and rumor is going to 8 next gen. One final con in my book is Intel has a habit of killing the platform each gen, so your best upgrade path is a 9900k, whereas amd you could maybe get a 3900 in there all depending on motherboard choice of course.

I went with a new Ryzen 5 2600 because it's a good gaming CPU, has a full warranty and purchased a motherboard and DDR4 from the same supplier but perhaps most of all, used hardware is way overpriced for what it is ... Used :barefoot:
