I have an X-Rite i1 Display 2 with EyeOne Match software. I've tried color calibrating TN, MVA, and IPS monitors, and I've had the same issue on all of them. The user-based calibration order presented by the EyeOne Match software is contrast -> color -> brightness. I can set the contrast perfectly, but I find that once I adjust the color and/or brightness, that affects the contrast and I'll end up getting completely different results if I do the calibration a second time.
For example, let's say these are the monitor defaults:
Contrast: 50 Color: R100 G100 B100 Brightness: 50
And that I get these results after running EyeOne Match:
Contrast 75 Color: R98 G96 B100 Brightness: 12
Now if I run EyeOne Match again, I now find that it takes a contrast of 81, which in turns throws off the Color and Brightness settings. And then if I run EyeOne Match a third time, all the settings change again. etc.
How do you guys deal with this?
