Well, I finally was able to buy my videocard (took longer than I had hoped for), and I was wondering if a 9800Pro would bottleneck my rig? To me, it wouldnt, but then again, Im not sure what parts would make it bottleneck and lower performance..
P4 2.4ghz 'C'
1GB PC3200 (DDR400)

no it will not bottleneck.... and u can ALWAYS overclock man...... i mean 2.4c=overclocking king :) from intel at least.. and it's not like ur running a 6800ultra or x800xt or anything.. that will bottleneck quite a bit with a "stock" 2.4c.. but overlcock man overclock.. but a 9800pro won't bottle neck at all

No, you must upgrade because the people who post on these forums tells you to. Just like advertisement, you will not be a happy person unless you spend 300 dollars more on a videocard that is worth maybe 20 dollars of performance over a 9800pro.

i didnt tell him to upgrade :) i told him to overclock :p

I like the comment you made about the videocard.. See, I can deal with the 'crappy' performance of the 9800Pro in todays games, thats why Im buying it, I sometimes laugh at people when tehy buy brand new stuff that isnt even all that great.. lol, I was just curious as to if I was bottlenecked because I know I would be (or would I?) with a 6800 or an X800.
