i would like to ask a simple question?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought internal drive bays were like hard drive bays that don't show and external drive bays are for optical drives and whatnot.
 
Internal bays have no external access. External bays do, such as the bays for DVD drives, floppy disk drives, etc.
