I got a new Saphire X1800xt 256MB with Accelero X2
I got the latest driver. Can you use the latest version of ATI tool to overclock or do I need to disable some ati processes?

Also will I need to or should I up the voltage any?

Im using the My stock clocks are 594\693

I want to see a good gain but I want to stay in the safe range also.
 
I would get rivatuner (personal faverite), use the newest cats and don't increase voltages use the stock voltages and see how far you get.
 
Will ATI Tool work just as well?

Also with Rivatuner will it let me make the refresh rate stay the same in all my d3d and open gl games?

I'm a true gamer I use CRT :D
 
No, Ati tray tools will tho, just go to d3d or opengl and where it says refresh rate overide just pick what you want and save that profile for that game

I would use RefreshLock for that refresh rate locking purpose. And of ATI Tool, it's the best for ATI cards. I only use RivaTuner for fan controlling or just NV cards.
