I want to direct network web traffic to a "welcome" page

My roommate and I just setup a wireless network that we are going to allow our other roommates to connect to and get internet access but we want to direct them to a website of our choice when they first get on to the network (example: we created a page that has like "rent due" reminders, random rss feeds, etc etc, and we want them to be redirected to that page no matter what). I figured we'd have to use some sort of proxy software but if someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Google for captive portal. That is what you want.

You can do a Captive Portal with DD-WRT.
