Hello !

A week ago i just bought a new computer but I think they cheated me with graphics card.
I suspect that they didn't put Gainward pci-e ultra/2400 pcx, geforce pcx 6800gt, 256 ddr3, 2xdvi, tv, into my computer but some other graphic card.

Please see pictures and tell me which graphic card is this ??

Either Aopen or Evga, or any other company that uses the standard pcb and the standard cooler.

I see two dvi ports, and other than that you really shouldn't expect much from a computer builder, looks fine to me though. As long as it works, i think you're good to go (and uncheated).

Definitely not the Gainward. I have the Gainward 6800GT, and the PCB is red and it doesn't use the stock cooler.

Not a gainward... but definitely a 6800 Ultra. That's iffy... if you ordered a Gainward, I think you should get a Gainward, not something that is not a Gainward.

I think you mean GT because that's not an ultra.

Thats a 6800GT reference card design...(ultras have a two slot height cooler)... could be any early pci-e version of the card. I know a lot of the mfgs produced a plain reference design looking card at first... eVGA and Aopen kept those looks while others went with different colored pcbs and alternate cooling setups with their rev2 cards.

It's most likely AOpen, as a picture from Newegg shows the eVGA has a large barcoded label on the back. My eVGA 6600GT has a similar looking label.

The Gainward Golden Sample/2400 should look like this.

If you paid extra for the Gainward, you should pick up the phone immediately and call whoever built your system. You got gipped. :(

Heh I dunno what I'm smoking... you pplz are right. That is a 6800 GT. That's like bait and switch or false advertising or breach of contract or something!

Demand satisfaction!!

Put the card in and boot the machine. The vid cards own bios should tell you what it is on post/bootup.

This doesn't happen with all cards. It's usually up to the manufacturer to enable the pre-POST v-BIOS display. My eVGA 6600GT does not do this.

It looks like an eVGA or an Aopen. I would seriously not take that bullshit from any OEM. Demand satisfaction as another member said.

It's a Gainward, just a straight reference card. Gainward does ship green pcb reference cards. There use to be a bunch of threads at gainwards european forums of people who were expecting red pcb and the 2 fan coolers only to get green pcb and mermaid reference cooler, or a reference cooler that was red. It seems Gainward deleted them all, but if you read this thread you can see others received green referenced cooled GT's.

Here is a review of a reference 6800 GT Golden sample.

http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/video/nv45-2.html

Notice the scan of the backside of the card and the stickers.

http://img257.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gainward6800gtgspcieback6zq.jpg

It has a barcode number of 471846200-6381.
Which according to Gainwards site is a

Gainward PowerPack!
Ultra/2400PCX
TV-DVI-DVI
Golden Sample

Now from your pictures your Barcode number is 471846200-6398
Which according to Gainwards sight is a

Gainward PowerPack!
Ultra/2400PCX
TV-DVI-DVI

Also, This will tell you if its a Gainward.
Download And install Gainward expert tool 3.32,

http://www.gainward.de/drivers/XPRTOOL332.zip

go to the information tab and scroll down, if its a Gainward there will be a semi-product part number. Non Gainward cards dont have this number.
(See example picture)
