No doubt, its not a low price because its a bad card trust me. The card is great. I run at that res and while some of the sliders for draw distance on actors and grass are not all the way up but it runs with HDR, at the Ultra High Settings within the games launcher. Its pretty much beautiful and it runs at 40fps dipping to 30 at some points in time. In Towns and caves you get 50 to 60 fps. Thats with my setup in Sig.
If you want a screenie to see how it looks I can post one.
can you plz post a screen of oblivion, i had to rma my motherboard so i havent actually seen oblivion with my new setup.

Has anyone here been able to OC this board decently? I can't OC the memory at all on mine (even with this new accelero) and OC'ing the core past 660 or so causes instability.

Will the x1800xt-pe bios from sapphire work on this card as well?

What's different between the X1800 and X1900 besides the shader units? I may be needing a cheap replacement card for my X800. Does the X1800 do AA+HDR(as in with the Oblivion 'chuck' patch) or just the X1900?

Your memory may be running too hot and could benfit from lowering the voltage.

adversely, the core may benefit from an increase in voltage.
Mine clocked to similar speeds until I upped the GPU voltage from 1.275 volts to 1.4V (the standard for 3D mode).
My core now runs at 700MHz. Memory at 800/1600MHz with default volts.

The PE BIOS will go in but unless you can get near the PE speeds on your normal BIOS I wouldnt do it.

Also, while getting an X-Fi will increase your FPS, it will only do so by about 1-4 FPS because your sound actually puts little stress on the CPU. The question about whether or not X-Fis in reality give you better sound or not is also debatable, so as a rule of thumb only get an X-Fi unless you really want one for audio purposes.

FWIW, as the OP was in regard to 'Oblivion', the X-Fi will do nothing at all. 'Oblivion' has no support for hardware audio acceleration (no EAX modes), so everything - EVERYTHING - is done in 'software' on the CPU.

Regarding the X1800...well, it only has 1/3 as many shader units as the X1900 cards...and 'Oblivion' IS a shader-heavy title...still, it's a very powerful card.
