Go to Start Right click "My Computer" Click Hardware Tab Click Device Manager In the Device Manager Window, tell us how many yellow question marks there are and what they are next to. If you see a yellow question mark next to something with USB in the title, right click it and click "update driver".

It is recognized by WinXP, and the drivers should be built into XP. I know that the old software that shipped w/ my cd burner (easy CD creator?) iis no longer compatible w/ XP.
