Alright, I've been looking for a big screen TV, either projection LCD or Plasma for both movies and a little gaming. I found this deal on this plasma TV from a company called ORCOM and I while I'm a little wary about buying from a company I'm not familiar with, 2000$ (deal is at compusmart) CAD for a 42" plasma is too good to pass up.

Well 852 x 480 pixels is not exactly what I would call "High Resolution" :(
 
I know, but for 2000$, it will probably be exclusively for consol gaming and movie watching. I was talking more along the terms of quality of the build. When I buy this thing is it going to work well or it it going to fall apart a week after the warranty ends?
 
you dont want to console game on a plasma, especially a "cheaper" one.

plasmas are still very susceptible to burn-in.

grab an LCD projection if you plan on gaming with it, youll get true high def resolutions, and theyre only 14-18" deep depending on how large you want to go.
