I need some help on oc'ing my system. First of all, i have an asus A8n sli deluxe, with an fx-55 cpu, and two sticks of this ram

http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merc..._Code=140326&Category_Code=Unbuffered_Corsair

Now is ther either a guide somewhere i can go to make this real easy for me? or can somebody help me here. Like on my ram, i knnow the latency timings, but in the bios it does them in RAS CAS format, and i'm not sure which is which. I also don't understand any of this hyper trasnport link, and memory bus stuff. Basically right now Ntune (i'm using that) says my hyper transport link is 1005 mhz, and memory bus is 402 mhz. It also says pci express bus is 2500mhz, but is that really important? My HT link multiplier is set at 5x it says

I thought most people do this with clockgen, but is there a version that supports my mobo?

ANY, and i mean ANY help at all anyone can provide me would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Eric

Read this thread. That'll answer some of your questions. Hang out in this forum and do lots of reading. Do some experimenting with your rig. One thing an oc'er should know is how to reset the cmos. Check your mobo manual on how to do this. If you really screw up your settings you can reset the cmos to get back to default settings.

Good luck and have fun.
